PRICES FROM 1ST OCT 2026
We have been reviewing our prices for the 2026/27 Log Season and have had to make the difficult decision to make some slight changes to our prices.
We have been fortunate enough to hold our prices for the last few years, and will continue to honour the price of individual bulk bags for both seasoned and kiln dried logs, however taking into consideration our extremely high and ever increasing fuel costs for both production and delivery of our logs, cord wood price increase, cost of living and wage increases, we simply can't do nothing.
So… although our individual bulk bag price will remain the same price, and we will still offer the same discount for two bulk bags, the discount for multiple bags after this will be changing to the new pricing system below.
The New prices shown here come into effect 1st October 2026.
Current prices remain on our systems until this date and can be ordered by clicking the Order Now Button or phoning / emailing sales@sussexlogs.com.

What is the difference between Bark Mulch / wood chip?...
Bark Mulch is made by chipping away the outer bark of coniferous plants and can last as long as 10 years.
Wood chip is made from the shredded interior of the trees and they last for as long as 5 years.
Bark mulch is usually more rigid and elegant where as Wood Chip is usually denser and softer and generally chunkier.
Bark Mulch is generally used around plants as it retains moisture, prevents weed growth, has a higher nutritional content, insulate roots and are best suited for garden areas.
Wood chip is generally used in play areas and for ground cover, pathways etc. as it is less susceptible to being washed or blown away and less likely to compact so better for areas with high foot traffic... read more
Tis the season to Manure your garden!...
Get top quality, well rotted horse manure, available now for delivery.
Manure is a great soil improver, enhancing the fertility of your soil to promote the healthy growth of plants and vegetables. The best time to manure your gardens is Autumn and heres why....
Crop Rotation - many gardeners follow crop rotation practices, and applying manure in Autumn allows it to break down and integrate into the soil before the next planting season.
Overwintering - Spreading Manure in autumn allows the soil to benefit from the cold weather and moisture to break down the manure releasing nutrients into the soil.
Moisture retention - Spreading Manure in Autumn helps the soil retain moisture during the winter and acts as a natural mulch.
Soil preparation - Applying manure in Autumn gives it plenty of time to decompose and enrich the soil for the next season of planting...read more
